The Burger King employee had received a goodie bag after working for 27 years. A plastic sipper, some chocolates, mints and a movie ticket were all he was rewarded for being loyal at work. While Kevin Ford himself quite appreciated the gesture, internet users criticized it because he deserved better. Kevin Ford’s daughter Seryna created the link on GoFundMe on June 20. In the span of just 10 days, she managed to raise over $2,37,232 from 7.3k backers. She explained that in the past 27 years, her father had never missed a day at work burger king† “He started his job as a single father when he got custody of me and my older sister 27 years ago. As our family grew and he remarried, he continued to work here because of the great health insurance,” she wrote. in the description.
“My father will continue to work here because although he looks young, he is approaching retirement age, and leaving would cost him his pension. We are in no way asking for money or expecting him to money but if anyone wants to bless him, he would love to visit his grandchildren,” she added.
