Man creating "guidebook" keep info on women

Man infuriates the internet with ‘guide’ he created to keep track of information about women

A college girl who created a “guide” to track information about women has enraged the internet with a new post that is going viral on social media.

Published on reddit‘s infamous r/AmITeA**hole forum, a guy under the username u/kaiokamikaze shared his story to get feedback from the AITA community to determine if he was wrong. The popular post has over 7,000 upvotes and 4,000 comments.

“So in my freshman year of college, I started working on this project casually,” the Redditor began, “I love taking notes about women I talk to about their favorite things, activities they enjoy, gifts/ sweets they like, juicy s** I don’t like memorizing things like that, so I decided to keep a spreadsheet.’

He casually brought his “Pokédex” – named after the guide in the game and anime series pokemon who indexes the imaginary creatures – to his friends and they felt he should share it with them. One thing led to another, and 40 men from the Reddit Users Association now have access to it. They could add new entries that they “catched” to help others impress the woman they were dating.

The women were mostly from other sororities around his college campus. He repeated to readers that he didn’t have this Pokédex for “nefarious or filthy” reasons. In an edit to the post, he confirmed that he was not a stalker and that the list was not intended to contain information that could hurt anyone, nor was it intended for “just” sex.

The user said: “Somehow a girl who was on the list found out and she was p**sed [the f**k] from. She was eventually able to trace it back to me, so I’m assuming someone who was playing for her clicked when the Pokédex didn’t make the girl like him. So she’s pissed off and she’s become a guide to dealing with women when it certainly isn’t.

“It’s just to impress them on dates. That’s it. She made it a big point to tell so many girls on campus and now they’re all saying that by the beginning of the fall semester, none of them will brotherhood or go to our feasts,” he continued.

He said his brotherhood was mad at him despite them using the list.

Are you planning to go on a date with someone you just met through a dating app† Here are a few ways to keep yourself safe† According to the official Tinder website, don’t rush to date someone, get to know them better before meeting them in person. Another good tip is to meet in public, such as in a restaurant.

Remember never to leave drinks or personal items unattended. Find your own transportation to and from your date in case a friend picks you up, use a ridesharing app, a taxi, or drive yourself. Tell people about your plans so someone knows where you are. Trust your instincts and leave if you don’t feel comfortable.

Have you ever been in a situation where you were on a date with someone and you felt uncomfortable? There is a kind of “shot” that you can order at many restaurants to let the bartender or waiter know that you need help. In a TikTok that has gone viral, a bartender under the… username @benjispears shared what an “angelshot” is and that it is becoming more and more known in bars/restaurants. There are three ways to order an angel shot:

  1. Angel shot with lime means you need the police.
  2. Angel nicely shot means you want someone (security, employee or bartender) to take you to your car.
  3. Angel shot on the rocks means you need the restaurant/bar staff to call a cab, Uber or Lyft to take you home.

Many readers were quick to criticize the original poster (OP) for its actions.

†[You’re the a**hole]-but mostly to think everyone is too stupid to see the real intent behind the list. There’s no one here who believes this list isn’t for sexual or nefarious reasons,” u/jake7992 exclaimed, receiving the top commentary with over 10,000 upvotes.

“That’s bloody terrifying, for what I hope are obvious reasons. There’s plenty of other things wrong with it (you’ve basically set up a damn menu of women for men to pick and choose from, describing it as a ‘ pokedex’), but hopefully this will give you a starting point. [You’re the a**hole]† Please delete this database immediately. Your ‘convenience’ is not above women’s safety,” explained u/CeridwenAeradwr.

U/Kindly_Reward_8537 the OP exclaimed, “[You’re the a**hole] That’s just scary. And the fact that you’ve shared it with other people and allowed them to edit it is disgusting. Also..’submissions’?? These aren’t ‘submissions’, these are real people you’re talking about here.”

“Yes…[You’re the a**hole]† If it was for yourself, you might be able to get a pass depending on the information. But the fact that you have shared it and allowed others to edit and use it. That alone makes [you the a**hole]’ admitted u/No-Bridge-6546.

†[You’re the a**hole]† Girls are not Pokemon cards or objects to study. If you want to impress a girl, how about taking her out? Get to know her? If you’re really interested, remember her likes and dislikes, you don’t need a spreadsheet,” u/oneblessedmess said.
