Dynatrace Expands Automatic Release Validation Capabilities

Software intelligence company Dynatrace has expanded its platform release validation capabilities to deliver automatic user experience validation and user experience assurance (UXA) at every stage of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

By automatically incorporating insights into the user experience, including application availability, performance, and feature engagement, the Dynatrace platform enables DevOps and SRE teams to continuously evaluate their applications against specific, measurable and achievable service level objectives (SLOs).

This enables teams to automatically improve software quality and resiliency at any scale with significantly less manual effort.

Ken Schirrmacher, senior director of information technology at Park N Fly, says ensuring his company’s applications exceed users’ expectations is critical to business success, and Dynatrace is key to its ability to achieve that.

“The platform automatically delivers insights into the user experience at every stage of the development cycle, which is a game changer for our teams. This provides instant, continuous confirmation that our software is achieving its goal,” he says.

“It has enabled us to ensure the highest quality user experience and to release new features and functionality at the speed our customers demand, without sacrificing quality of service.”

These enhancements to the Dynatrace platform use data from simulated software testing processes that mimic real user engagement and end-to-end transactions. Dynatrace says Davis, the AI engine at the core of the platform, automatically combines these test results with additional, comprehensive observational data to provide immediate and accurate answers about user interactions with applications.

Dynatrace SVP of Product Management Steve Tack says DevOps and SRE teams can’t meet the demand to accelerate innovation, maintain software quality and security, and deliver competitive digital services without a useful understanding of the user experience.

“This latest enhancement to Dynatrace automates time-consuming release validation processes and delivers immediate and accurate insights into how users will experience an application once it’s live,” he says.

“Combining this functionality with the platform’s comprehensive integrations with key DevSecOps tools, teams can achieve higher throughput, ensure the highest standards of performance and security, and innovate with confidence to ensure a competitive advantage.”

This follows Dynatrace being named a Leader in the 2022 Magic Quadrant for Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability by Gartner. In addition, the company was also named a Leader in the 2022 GigaOm Radar for Cloud Observability Solutions for its unique, comprehensive approach.

Dynatrace provides a unified software intelligence platform that combines broad and deep observability and continuous runtime application security with the most advanced AIOps to provide answers and intelligent automation of data at massive scale.

This enables innovators to modernize and automate cloud operations, deliver software faster and more securely, and ensure flawless digital experiences.
