“I took off my shirt and the couple sitting next to me could literally hear them say, ‘Oh, I was expecting something nicer,'” he recalled.

“Five minutes later a little girl says, ‘Hey Mom, I need to go to the bathroom,’ Greyson continued. The girl’s mother says, ‘Number one or number two?'”

The girl clarified that she had to go “number one”, to which her mother replied, “Oh, just go in the pool, honey. The chlorine kills all bacteria.”

Greyson ends his video with an annoyed expression on camera.

The truth about peeing in the pool

Unfortunately, peeing in public swimming pools is a relatively common phenomenon, according to TODAY. However, experts warn against this behavior, as it produces an “irritant” that causes “red eyes.”

“If we go swimming and complain that our eyes are red, it’s because swimmers have peed in the water,” said Michele Hlavsa, head of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) healthy swimming program, told TODAY. “The nitrogen in the urine combines with the chlorine and it forms what’s known as chloramine and it’s actually chloramine that causes the red eyes. It’s chlorine mixed with poop and sweat and a lot of other things that we bring into the water with us.” .”

In conversation with Fox 10, Hlavsa advised, “Swimmers should use the pool to swim, the toilet to urinate and the showers to wash before entering the pool. It’s that simple.”

TikToker Takeaways

Many viewers were stunned by Greyson’s story, stating that the video persuaded them to visit the pools of their complexes.

“Oh my lord, so traumatizing,” Dylan Moore remarked.

“I’m not going to lie, I was” [about] to go to my complex pool, [and] now i have confirmation as to why i never go,” wrote edcaliofficial.

“Now I will never go to my complex pool again,” Call me L added.

Others, meanwhile, used the video as an opportunity to air about how gross public pools are.

‘In the proper pool I used to live in, floating diapers and ducks would swim. You live spark plug,’ claimed Jacqui Coleman.

“Ever since my parents built a pool, I refuse to go in public pools for this reason,” Kylie said,

Kt added: “I am a pool inspector in the health department and from experience I will never swim in most apartment pools.”

news week has contacted Greyson for comment.

A new poll revealed that nearly half of Americans are really looking forward to “having fun indoors” this summer. This could be a good thing, given that at least a third of public swimming pools in the US are at risk of closing this summer due to a shortage of national lifeguards.

Bernard Visser, director of the American Lifeguard Association said: news week“Unfortunately, it’s probably going to be the worst summer. We have 309,000 public swimming pools in the US, but we don’t have the youth relative to the population.”
