Meta has announced it will host an exclusive concert by nine-time GRAMMY-nominated artist Post Malone

Titled “Post Malone’s Twelve Carat Toothache: A VR Experience,” the 40-minute concert film and visual album will premiere at Venues within Horizon Worlds on July 15 at 6:00 PM PT/9:00 PM ET.

Directed by Lewis Smithingham and produced by Westbrook Media and Media.Monks, the 180-degree experience, created specifically for VR, coincides with the recent release of Post Malone’s new album Twelve carat toothache† Featuring special appearances from The Kid Laroi, Fleet Foxes and Roddy Ricch, the immersive performance lets viewers see and hear his raw journey through the ups and downs of life, pleasure and pain, light and dark, fame and decay.

“Post Malone’s Twelve Carat Toothache: A VR Experience” will air in Venues within Horizon Worlds and Oculus TV on Meta Quest 2. For fans who do not own a Meta Quest 2 VR headset, the experience will also be available on Post Malone’s Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as Watch Together on Messenger and Instagram video calls.

It was recently announced that Post’s worldwide hit single “Rockstar (with 21 Savage)” has become the rapper’s latest music video to hit the one billion views milestone on YouTube.

The song was originally released in 2017 as the lead singer of the star’s second album from 2018, Beerbons & Bentleys† Upon its release, it reached the #1 spot on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it spent eight weeks at the top — the longest run at #1 for a hip-hop song in 2017.

It also shot to the top of the charts around the world, including in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and more. It has achieved Diamond certified status in the US and is currently four times platinum in the UK.

“Rockstar” was nominated in the Record of the Year and Best Rap/Sung Performance categories at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, held in 2019. It was also nominated for awards at the 2018 American Music Awards, BET Hip-Hop Awards, iHeartRadio Music Awards and MTV Europe Music Awards. It won the 2018 MTV VMAs, won Song Of The Year, and won the 2018 Billboard Music Awards with Top Rap Song.
