After weeks of waiting, Indiana Jones has finally been added to Fortnite† Unlike many licensed characters, you don’t have to spend any money to play as Indy in the game. Instead, you’ll need to complete a series of challenges to earn the skin, along with a set of Indiana Jones cosmetics.
In this guide, we will help you complete all the challenges to unlock the Indiana Jones skins in Fortnite†
Buy the Season 3 Battle Pass
Before starting the quests themselves, you’ll need to purchase the Season 3 Battle Pass for $950 V. You can grab 1,000 V-bucks for about $8, or if you’ve bought a previous battle pass, you may have already set aside enough V-bucks. Once you purchase the Season 3 Battle Pass, you can progress towards the Indiana Jones quests.
Use the grapple glove to swing from trees (10)
Reward: Raider’s Relics Harvesting Tool
As we covered during the scavenger hunt guide for week 2, you’ll want to get your hands on grapple gloves, which are located at stations all over the map and can also be found in chests. Once you have one, use it to swing from 10 trees to complete this quest. Keep in mind that you don’t have to swing from all 10 trees within the same match.
Collect the Durrrburger Relic from the Temple and Ruins in one match (2)
Expedition Bag Back Bling
This one is a bit trickier as both locations will be extremely busy with other players. From our experience, it’s best to land at The Temple first, as this area tends to be busier and thus harder to survive. Once you arrive, you’ll see an icon of the Durrrburger Relic on your HUD, so make sure to grab it in the underground section of the temple. Make sure to stock up on weapons as you search for the relic. Then head southeast to The Ruins and do the same.
You may encounter other enemy players, but if you have weapons with you, you should be able to defend yourself. If not, we recommend avoiding contact with the enemy. You’ll need to collect both relics within the same match for counting, so it might be a good idea to visit these spots during a match when the Battle Bus spawns far away so you’re less likely to run into enemy players.
Damage opponents while riding in or standing on a vehicle (500)
Reward: Rogue Archeology Wrap
This is one of the trickiest of the bunch as it relies on luck. It is recommended that you gradually progress towards this challenge, rather than attempting to deal 500 damage in one go. If you come across a vehicle, make sure you have decent medium to long range weapons before jumping in. Then drive it to a heavily trafficked area like Tilted Towers or one of the other major hubs. Drive around and if you spot an enemy, go to the passenger seat to fire as many shots as you can. Even if you secure an elimination, you’ll still need to deal more damage to complete it, so repeat the process until you’ve dealt 500 damage. This one is cumulative, so there is no need to earn all 500 in one match.
Find chests at Shifty Shafts (5)
Rewards: Banner Icon
At first, this challenge may seem difficult due to the sheer number of players you’ll encounter at Shifty Shafts (seriously, we counted 17 other players when we tried it!), but there’s a much easier method than landing a punch in the middle of this area. Instead, aim for the mountain to the north, just east of Logjam Lotus, where you’ll find significantly fewer players. It may still take a few tries to open five chests as this area doesn’t have as much loot as others, but it’s much safer.
in typical Fortnite fashion, you can earn an extra Indiana Jones skin. This one is from the Temple of Doom movie, featuring Indy with damaged clothes. After you earn the first Indiana Jones skin by completing the four challenges listed above, you will unlock five more challenges. Completing this will reward you with the Indiana Jones (Temple Explorer) skin.
Find the secret door beyond the main room in Shuffled Shrines (1)
Reward: Indy’s Dustoff Emote
This one is tricky – not only because the goal itself is confusing, but also because you have a boatload of players to deal with as you try to solve the puzzle. Therefore, we recommend trying this later when this area is not so hot. Anyway, what you need to do is visit the areas marked on the map above, within the new Shuffled Shrines POI. Each of the four locations contains a broken rune that changes color every match. You have to visit all of them and note what color they are.
Once you’ve seen the color of each rune, head to the center of this area and go down one floor, where you’ll find another set of runes in front of a door. What you need to do is match each rune in front of you with the one you found along the perimeter of this area. The broken rune in the southwest of Shuffled Shrines is connected to the leftmost rune in front of the door, the northwest rune belongs to the middle left rune, the northernmost rune in the center corresponds to the middle right rune, and the eastern rune represents the rightmost rune. rune. You must rotate the runes in front of the door to match the colors of the broken runes on the outside. Remember that the colors change every game.
After opening the door, carefully walk down the hallway. Look at the walls and you will see holes where deadly arrows can come out. If you approach just far enough, you can activate them before stepping back. Keep doing this until you reach the end where your prize awaits. Well, one of them anyway. Grab the Golden Tomatohead and the whole area will start shaking. At this point, look immediately to the right of the giant skull on the wall and you’ll see a plant blocking a path that leads to the secret room. Once you set foot here, you will earn points for completing this challenge.
Store an item of Mythic or Exotic rarity in a tent (1)
Reward: Indy’s Escape Spray
This one can be tricky, as you not only need to find a tent, but also encounter a Mythic or Exotic weapon. Your best bet is to visit one of the NPCs on the map above and buy an exotic/mythical weapon from them using gold bars. Of course, you can also find these items in the world, but they are hard to find. Remember that mythical weapons like gold and exotics have a light blue color. Keep looting as much as you can and when you find a tent, throw in your exotic or mythical weapon to complete it.
Make Runaway Boulders roll 100 meters in a single match (100)
Reward: Doctor Jones Emoticon
This quest is a lot easier than it sounds. What you need to do is land around Rave Cave, where you’ll find a handful of huge Runaway Boulders on big hills. We’ve marked one on the map above. Land on the north side of the Boulder and attack the base with your harvesting tools. It will then roll down the hill, and if you’re on the north side of it, the Boulder will easily reach over 100 yards.
Damage opponents with a gun (750)
Reward: Loading screen for the first accident
For this quest, keep your eyes peeled for rare pistols and do your best to damage enemy players with them. Depending on your skill level, you may be able to complete this in one match, but dealing 750 damage with a pistol will probably take a while. Prioritize using a gun and take advantage of unsuspecting enemies to complete it quickly.
Place top 5 in a match (1)
Reward: Emergency Raft Glider
This is probably the simplest objective of the bunch. If you’re having a hard time, do your best to play passively, make sure you have health and gear, and don’t go into enemies unless you’re confident you’ll secure elimination. With a little luck and patience you will reach the top five.
